With a background in Fine Art, Fleur Rossdale, Managing Director of The Interior Design House Ltd (IDH) and The Interior Design House Exhibition Ltd, has been a pioneering promoter of the importance of the home environment since her debut exhibition in 1982 at 1 Cornwall Terrace, Regent’s Park, which attracted 10,000 visitors over ten afternoons with recognition on the BBC news. The exhibition gained international media acclaim and her subsequent purpose built British Interior Design Exhibitions, which she staged in London during the 1980’s and 1990’s at Chelsea Old Town Hall attracted up to 30,000 visitors at each event and enormous world-wide publicity.
Fleur is exporting her success in London to Brussels, working with International Interior Designers and their wide range of suppliers and master craftsmen at an exhibition to be built at The Hotel de la Poste, Tours & Taxi in central Brussels.
Fleur’s previous exhibitions held in London include The British Interior Design Exhibition, which were staged in 1982, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1997. Also Interiors by International Fashion Designers was held in 1991.
Among the exhibitors were David Hicks, Mary Fox Linton, Colefax & Fowler, Stephen Ryan, Alidad, John Pawson, Charles Rutherford, Henrietta Spencer Churchill and Christophe Gollut; Amanda Wakeley; Thomas Swarovski (designed by Christina Fallah); Vivienne Westwood; Stephen Jones; Bruce Oldfield; Polo Ralph Lauren; Victor Edelstein; Carolyn Quartermaine and Tom Dixon.
Each event attracted as many as 30,000 visitors and gathered worldwide press coverage, featuring on the BBC & ITV news.
